“Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker” has come and gone, and we did not get the story arc that the Star Wars canon deserved-Rey being a Kenobi. Instead, she was made a Palpatine, via her father. As fans, we have to accept this.

To move forward, especially in light of “Star Wars: The Clone Wars” Season 7 focusing on the Siege of Mandalore, which will include story arcs involving Sabine of “Star Wars: Rebels” and Bo-Katan Kryze of “Star Wars: The Clone Wars”, I implore the powers that be to explore Rey’s maternal parentage.

Please make Korkie Kryze Obi-Wan’s son via a clandestine relationship with Duchess Satine, before “Star Wars: The Clone Wars”. Please allow Korkie to be Rey’s maternal grandfather.  This would tie in multiple series, including “Star Wars: The Mandalorian”, whose finale included the Darksaber.

Please. Pretty please. With Salacious Crumb on top?

(***If you dislike the improbability of a Kenobi grandchild mating with a Palpatine grandchild, like my own children did, when I proposed the idea to them, I suggest a story such as: a character (like Obi-Wan Kenobi to Luke Skywalker) hide both Korkie’s daughter, and Palpatine’s son, and through their living in secret, they form a romantic relationship that spawns Rey. The idea of children being hid has precedent with Anakin and Padme’s children. I don’t expect any credit for this idea; I just want to see it made canon.***)

In closing, please, “Do the magic hand thing” and make Korkie Kryze a Kenobi, and Rey’s maternal grandfather.
