LSE Law Department: implement a safety-net policy for final year student exams
The Issue
At this time, given the unforeseen escalation of COVID-19 both within the United Kingdom and abroad, students that are set to undergo exams are experiencing all manners of struggle and difficulty. The ripples of this global emergency are affecting us all, be it mentally or physically.
For many of us set to begin employment in the summer, deferral is a non-option. As such, we urge the LSE Law department to implement a safety-net policy for final year undergraduate students, which provides that as long as students pass their assessments, their result will only confirm the class awarded in their second year or improve it. After three years of diligent study and dedication, we ask the Law Department to think of us and to follow the move made by other universities such as Cambridge, Warwick, Exeter and Edinburgh.
