The Land Acknowledgement Statement is a statement that acknowledges the land on which a university sits and the people who have been displaced from it. It is also an opportunity to educate students about the history of their campus and what it means to be in relationship with the land.

The Land Acknowledgement Statement at Loyola University Chicago we feel could be more permanent, universal, and accessible. Currently, Loyola's LAS is not found on any university-wide website, only through certain departments' web pages. Join us in calling on Loyola to make its LAS permanent, universal to every school/department, and easily accessible to the home site.
