Many of us students have fought with the Department of Residence Life about housing exemption. Many of us wish to commute for financial reasons or family reasons. However, solely stating that we wish to commute for those reasons is, for the majority of us, not enough. It is absurd that we have to explain our personal lives in great depth, just to be exempt from dorming at Loyola University Chicago. The LUC Department of Residence Life, DOES NOT deserve to know in great detail our financial situations and or family issues. We state valid reasons as to why we cannot live on campus, but are denied of exemption. Many of us have also chosen to study at LUC because of the ability to commute.

It is understandable that Loyola University Chicago will have some circumstances to which this exemption may not be waived, but may theses circumstances be what majority students believe to be reasonable.
