Demand Ashley Paulk step down from his position for misconduct.

Demand Ashley Paulk step down from his position for misconduct.
The Issue
The assault and arrest of a protester for displaying a sign that angered the sheriff of Lowndes county was a gross abuse of power. Mr. Paulk refuses to take accountability for his part in the dispute and shows poor quality of judgement in his personal dealings. This also proves his quality of character in leading a police force in his elected position. Mr. Paulk has shown judgement unbecoming of his station. Someone with his temperament is unfit to lead and that is why he should step down immediately and a replacement should be voted on by local officials or an interim should be placed in his stead until a new sheriff can be voted on democratically in upcoming elections. Furthermore his conduct in the events that took place June 3 and 4 should be investigated to see if charges are warranted. The charges against the protester should be dropped and a full apology should be made as well.
