Lower Videogame Prices and Change User Agreement for Nintendo Switch 2

Lower Videogame Prices and Change User Agreement for Nintendo Switch 2
The Issue
Although the console is priced at $450, its outdated software could be overlooked if it weren't for the overpriced games. The increase in videogame prices from the previous $50-$70 range to the current $80-$90 range is outrageous, that is a whopping 33.33% increase! With the launch of Nintendo Switch 2, not only has the price hike made it harder for many to afford these games, but the revised user agreement further complicates this issue.
Imagine purchasing a game for $90 only to find out that you're not actually buying the game itself. The new user agreement outlines that you're merely acquiring a "key" to access and play the game. This stipulation effectively strips you of ownership, preventing any modifications or a true sense of entitlement over the game you purchase.
Moreover, this agreement ominously states that Nintendo retains the power to shut down your Switch 2 at their discretion. This leaves users in a precarious situation where their investments remain at the mercy of the company's policies. Is it fair that after spending hundreds of dollars, gamers don't truly possess what they buy?
It's important that Nintendo revisits their pricing strategy and user agreement policy to align more closely with the expectations and rights of their dedicated community. By advocating for affordable game prices and granting legitimate ownership of purchased games, Nintendo can maintain its integrity and assure its loyal customers that their continued support is both respected and valued.
I personally was looking forward to the switch 2 and it's release due to the countless improvements there have been compared to the switch 1, but after seeing the prices of everything I was disappointed as I cannot spend that much money on something like that.
Join us in this campaign to ask Nintendo to lower their game prices for Nintendo Switch 2 and amend their user agreement to offer real ownership. Sign the petition today and make your voice heard.
