Todd County is one of the poorest of 87 Counties in MN. In 2020 (latest data provided) we had 12.2% living under the poverty level. Our median household income $52,842- 7th lowest in MN. Our welfare participation as a percentage is the highest in the State. We have the 5th poorest broadband accessibility per household.

As tax payers of Todd County we can not handle the 20% County wide increase in assessed property values. We are very concerned our taxes in 2023 are going to go up in proportion. Many of us are having our property values increased from 30-150% in 2023. We are asking our (5) Todd County commissioners and (2) House of Representatives to help us at the State level  to try and offset this increase of values and proportionate taxation.
