In 2012, in my darkest hour following the loss of my father, it was the music of Pierce the Veil that pulled me back from the precipice. This band means more to me and others like me than words can express. But the escalating prices of tour tickets are denying us the chance to see our lifesavers in person.

In the last five years, the average concert ticket price has spurred by 55 percent (Pollstar, 2019), pushing live music experiences out of reach for many hard-working devotees. The spiralling cost is nowhere more evident than in the pricing for a Pierce the Veil’s concert ticket, the band that is a lifesaver for many like myself.

Their music deserves to be accessible to everyone, not just those who can afford steadily increasing prices. It's about time that fans stopped being priced out of the opportunity to connect with the music that keeps them going.
