California is one of the most expensive states to live in. Ranking the third to be exact while New York is the second and Hawaii the first. To survive in California you must have more than one income and make at least 5,000 per month. Although the houses are expensive it’s best to own because to rent you must make three times your rent as well as pass a hard credit check. Covid came around at the ending of 2018 and in 2021  with Covid still around we seen an inflation. From the prices of groceries to prices of gas. To add to that issue most of the resources are not available if you make 25,000 to 30,000 annually, which is not even enough to survive comfortably. I think rent in California should be income based. Doing this will have a great impact on California residents. Like decreases homelessness and allow people to provide for their families more. I know people who are afraid to add to their families because they feel like they can’t afford it. Children are our future. No one should ever have to feel like they can’t do things because it’s financially out of their reach.
