According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the Consumer Price Index has shown consistent increases over the years, squeezing household budgets beyond a sustainable point. This means that many are unable to afford basic necessities, let alone cover unexpected expenses or save for the future.
Inflation and stagnating wages compound this problem, creating an environment where the American Dream feels increasingly out of reach for so many. The Economic Policy Institute points out that while the cost of living has risen dramatically, wages have not kept pace, leaving a gap that’s growing larger with each passing year.
We believe that concrete policy changes can alleviate this burden.
