As someone who has chickens, I have enjoyed seeing the joyous expressions on people's faces as I sell them eggs for less than the $26 that a flat of thirty eggs costs in store. It's outrageous that the government has raised the cost of eggs to this high. Being an individual that is part of a family with three children, and divorced parents, it's hard to afford white eggs for Easter. Our chickens lay brown eggs, so that makes it extremely hard to pay for Easter eggs, while also paying the costs of two houses, and food for three children. I understand that it is hard to find eggs that aren't toxic nowadays, but isn't it a bit odd that WE'RE the ones making them toxic? Well, not necessarily humans in general, but the companies that sell eggs feed their chickens toxic chemicals, which causes their eggs to, you guessed it, be un-consumable. If farmers stopped buying cheap "food" for their hens, then maybe the government would lower the cost of eggs. By signing this petition, you could be helping millions of people find affordable eggs and have an amazing Easter. Help me fill their baskets, and start deflation.
