Lower grade boundaries for the IBDP Biology SL and HL

The Issue

The current grade boundaries for Biology in the IB program are too high, and they do not accurately reflect the level of knowledge and skills that students have acquired. Lowering the grade boundaries would be a fairer and more appropriate way to assess students' performance and ensure that they are recognized for their achievements.

Biology is a complex and challenging subject that requires students to have a deep understanding of scientific concepts, experimental techniques, and data analysis. However, the current grade boundaries for Biology are set at such a high level that even students who have a good grasp of the subject matter and perform well in assessments may not receive the grades they deserve. This creates an unfair situation where students who have worked hard and demonstrated a high level of proficiency are not recognized for their efforts.

Lowering the grade boundaries for Biology would allow a more accurate and fair assessment of students' knowledge and skills, without compromising the rigor and standards of the IB program.
