I am a Lovejoy High school graduate. I like everyone else understand the severity of the crisis our nation is facing at the moment and understand that it is out of our control; however, the class of 2020 deserves their very well earned graduation ceremony. I am very disappointed as many others in our school system and school administrators with the way they have handled our graduation ceremony. No one who has gone to school for 13 years deserves their name to be called through a computer screen. Every single one of us have made plenty of sacrifices whether big or small to get to where we are at right now. Mental breakdowns, tears, failures, late nights, depressive episodes, etc. All of this for a virtual ceremony.Our class is mad. Disappointed. Frustrated. We deserve a live, genuine, formal graduation ceremony.
