Students who have attended Louisiana Tech, or currently do, have paid far too much for far too long for textbooks. There are better ways we can receive our books, ones that do not resort in empty bank accounts and student loans. If our university cares about us, why let this go on any longer? We suggest that Tech should find a way to allow students to pay a flat rate fee to cover the cost of renting books every year, to avoid the struggle of finding anyone to sell books cheaper. Other small Louisiana universites, i.e., Southeastern Louisiana University, have implemented an entirely rental system, and that is one major way they pay less than Tech students.
