As Social Workers we must constantly work on our own biases and assumptions to successfully serve our clients.

We are asking the the Louisiana State Board of Social Work Examiners add a requirement that all licensed Social Workers attend 3 hours of CEUs (continuing education units) yearly on anti-racist, anti-oppression, anti-carceral or abolitionist topics. 

We owe it to our profession, our ethical code, and the clients we serve to remain committed to social justice and matters of equity. This requires ongoing training on such topics.
