Kraft: Put an Artificial Food Dye Warning Label On Our Jello, Like Europe Has

The Issue

Jello, owned by Kraft, contains artificial sweeteners such as Red #40, Blue #1, Yellow #5 and Yellow #6. Kraft is using man-made, petroleum-based artificial dyes and coloring agents, that are actually a major cause of hyperactivity and misbehavior in children. Petroleum is a “crude oil product, which also happens to be used in gasoline, diesel fuel, asphalt, and tar.” Scientists also confirmed that the dyes are “tainted with carcinogens (substances that directly cause cancer).” And yet, the Kraft Jello products sold in Europe are require products with these ingredients to include a warning label on the package stating: “May have an adverse effect on activity and attention in children.” We deserve the same warning labels in America, to spread awareness about the potentially harmful effects of artificial food dyes.
