New Orleans' triple-A baseball team, the Zephyrs, is undergoing a name change.  This change reflects a unique opportunity for fans to choose a new name that reflects our city's unique culture and strengths.  The name which has been selected is the New Orleans "Baby Cakes."  We respectfully ask that the name be reconsidered.  It is not befitting of a professional baseball team, nor does it adequately represent the history and culture of the region.
