Children Die in Canadian Foster Care, please share this to people running for election.

A friend sent me the following letter. Please consider sharing this letter to any one running for election.

Dear Mr. Trudeau, Mr. Scheer, Mr. Singh, Mr. Blanchet, Mr. Bernier, and Mrs. May
The nation has watched with interest the debates among those contending for the leadership of this country.
Of all the issues raised, we wonder why one of the most important crises facing our nation has not been named or discussed. I refer to the heartbreaking number of injuries and the deaths of Canadian children at the hands of the child protection agencies whose ostensible purpose is to protect them.
All across Canada, literally thousands of our children in the so-called care of these agencies have been physically and sexually abused and worse. The unimaginable horrors that children are torn from their families and placed in abusive and even fatal situations by these privately-owned corporations have faced and are still facing and should outrage you as they do us..
We recognize that these child protection corporations operate under the auspices of provincial governments. But we also know, as you must, that the provinces have failed in their duty to protect our children, and we believe that it is long past time for our federal Members of Parliament to take a leadership position on this issue. This is real government business and cannot be ignored any longer.
We believe that the voters of this country are owed an explanation of how this was allowed to happen and why it continues to happen. We wonder if any of you are caring enough about the fate of our children to raise and address this urgent issue.
We invite you to discuss this matter with us on any of the many televised platforms so freely available.
Please talk to Cindy Blackstock, the Executive Director of the First Nations Child and Family Caring Society which filed the original complaint against Ottawa with the Assembly of First Nations in 2007. I too have spoken loud and clear since 2007,
It would be fatal for Canada to overlook the urgency of reform of the child protection agencies. As history repeats itself, SILENCE will be recorded as Consent!
We hope for your prompt and favourable response.
Your truly,
Alfredine (Linda) Plourde
