Designate Figueroa Street from Olympic Boulevard to Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard, Kobe Bryant Boulevard
In honor of the late great Kobe Bryant, the Los Angeles City Council has proposed a portion of Figueroa Street to be named Kobe Bryant Boulevard as a way to pay tribute to the impact he has made to the City of Angels.
This stretch of road symbolizes the beaten path Kobe took over the span of his 20-year career as a member of the Los Angeles Lakers, filled with sacrifice, focus, grit and determination. However certain entities do not share the sentiments of the legion of fans, including the Figueroa Corridor Partnership Foundation (Figueroa Corridor BID) who have come out against this long-overdue recognition and are organizing against this wonderful proposal by LA City Councilmember Curren Price.
The essence of Kobe’s hard work, all of the blood, sweat, broken bones, heartbreaking losses and triumphant wins - lives in the heart of Los Angeles and the masses want nothing more than to pay homage to the King of LA in a special way. Lakers Nation let's come together to demand our collective voice is heard by signing this petition to honor our hero and make Kobe Bryant Boulevard a reality.
