My Name is Jeremy and I have lived on LongFellow Drive in Carmel NY for 8 years now.   Over the past few years the speeding up our road has become quite troublesome, with 2 people who live on our road being hit and a family losing their pet.   Numerous attempts to get the Police involved has ended with nothing more than "we will try to send patrols up the road more often".  No blame to them, as short staffed as they are,  the additional patrols they attempt haven't been able to stifle the speeders at all.   I am looking to take this petition and signatures to the Town Board to ask for assistance in the form of  Digital speed signs that issue tickets by registration, stop signs, speed bumps or additional police presence.

I am asking for those of you that both live on LongFellow drive or live off of a street that stems from LongFellow drive to sign this petition.   The community is growing, more families, more children and  pets.  We need to make sure that we are able to keep them safe. 

We need do something before someone or something  else gets hit and killed.
