Justice for unfairly treated gamers by "Rise of Empires: Ice and Fire" app developers

The Issue

Long Tech Network Limited, the developers of “Rise of Empire: Ice and Fire,” have been treating users unfairly. The company has been biased towards users located in China. The first way Long Tech Network Limited is biased, is that they offer users located in China much lower in-app purchase prices compared to any other location. These drastic price differences are not due to currency exchange rates, but rather favoritism towards users located in China. This creates an unevenly matched gaming environment by giving an unfair advantage to those located in China. This advantage allows for users located in China to have access to more resources that are usually difficult to obtain otherwise.

Second, Long Tech Network Limited closes the servers during in-game events and leaves the servers open only for those they favor during the events. These server closures are not due to scheduled or emergency maintenance, and only affects users who are ahead in an event, so long as these users are not favored. This is very frustrating for users who are not favored because the unfavored users can watch everything they have worked for be torn apart, without being able to defend their work. This is not only unfair, but it is cruel. During these events, users work endlessly for weeks to prepare for the main event, just to be locked out when the time for the event comes. When this happens, it is nearly impossible to recover, and detrimental to the users who have been affected during the event. Many users have spent thousands of dollars individually from in-app purchases in order to prepare for these events. When a lock-out happens, it is nearly impossible to recover, and detrimental to the users who have been affected during the event. The users lose countless in-game resources, as well as the money they invested into the game. Furthermore, if a refund is requested, the user is penalized heavily in-game, with the threat of the account being closed.

Third, Long Tech Network Limited allows for cyber bullying. Although there is a report button to report other users, the company refuses to do anything to limit or discourage cyberbullying in any way. In fact, there is not even any mention of cyberbullying being against the rules anywhere in the Terms of Service or Privacy Policy. This is becoming increasing problematic with users who may be under the age of 18.

Many users have spent thousands of dollars individually from in-app purchases in order to prepare for these events, just to be locked out of the event and the money to be wasted.

Users who have been affected by the unfairness and blatant favoritism request compensation in the following ways:

-        RoC specialty levels

-        SX hero recruitment tickets.

-        Full Eden rewards

As users who enjoy the game, we hope to raise enough awareness for Long Tech Network Limited to change the way they conduct business and allow for a fair and evenly matched gaming environment. We also insist that cyberbullying be discouraged and stopped, and offenders be punished.
