Merton Council may have to close the paddling pool in the Playing Fields next year for financial reasons.

They want to install an interactive water play area into another one of their Parks which is simpler and cheaper to run.

Currently there are two similar installations in the Borough; one in Wimbledon Park and another at Tamworth Recreation Ground in Mitcham (pictured above).

We would love Sir Joseph Hood to be the next location!

This petition is designed to show how much we would miss the current paddling pool if it were closed and how much we would like a splash park as a cost effective, fun and inclusive replacement.
