There is a danger that the tree house in Arundel Square will be removed.
Some local residents have complained about it.
Unfortunately, Islington Council failed to follow due process when they put it up. As a result, officers and councillors are now reviewing whether the tree house can stay. This is even though the plans for Arundel Square's redevelopment always included a tree house. And the community around Arundel Square was consulted extensively as these plans were being drawn up.
Since it was installed, the tree house has become a focus for play and enjoyment by children from all over the area.
At a recent planning meeting, 80 letters of support were received, against only 17 letters of objection. But no decision has yet been taken.
We the undersigned want the Tree House kept.
