Disband Locust Town Center HOA
Disband Locust Town Center HOA
The Issue
I am asking for support from the Home Owners in the Locust Town Center in Disbanding the Locust Town Center Home Owners Association (HOA). The current HOA is ran by the Developer Terry Whitley, we have zero homeowner representation on this Association, there has never been a meeting established between the HOA and homeowners, it is just a dictatorship of one man telling us we have to comply with what he wants, not what the homeowners want. In the last year I have heard from many homeowners who are frustrated they are unable to get approvals or even responses from The HOA. The Town Center Neighborhood has no playgrounds, trails, pools, clubhouse and there is very minimum common areas to maintain. We all take pride in our neighborhood and should not have someone taking our money just to dictate what color fence we can have, or what shed can be on our property.
My proposal to city counsel will be for the city to over see the neighborhood under current CCRS much like other neighborhoods in the city are managed.
Per North Carolina law we must have 80% of the homeowners agree to disband the association, I will be collecting signatures with in the neighborhood to go forward with the legal proceedings of disbanding the association. If we do receive enough signatures I will present the finding to the city, and move forward with the legal actions in needed in court to formally disband the association.
