The Issue

This is Aaron Albert Moselle, a prominent businessman and civil rights advocate in the city of Lockport. He was responsible for the desegregation of the Lockport City Schools 70 yrs before Brown vs. Board of Education. Through his business as a brickmaker, he supplied some of the bricks for the first Lockport school. There is one school left in Lockport not named after a person and if there is anyone worthy of having a school named after them it's Aaron Albert Moselle. It's time to rename North Park Jr. High to Aaron Moselle jr. High School. It's time for the school board to do what is right and just. This is not a black and white thing, it's a right and wrong thing. A man who excelled in education and business deserves a school not a park or a sign. Mr Mosell played and intricate part in making our schools integrated and giving minority children the education they deserve so now let’s give him the credit he deserves.
