Lock Bongani Twala away

🟧 JUSTICE FOR VUYELWA “MIMI” KUBEKA 🟧
#JusticeForMimiKubeka | #JusticeForVuyelwaKubeka | #EndGBV
💔 Our beloved sister, daughter, and teacher, Vuyelwa “Mimi” Kubeka, was brutally raped and murdered on 2 August 2025.
Vuyelwa had just graduated and begun her teaching career at Emdenis Zibambele Primary school—a bright young woman with a passion for education and a heart full of kindness. But her life was cut short in the most horrific way.
We demand justice for Vuyelwa. Bongani Twala, who has been implicated in this heinous crime, must be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law. His actions have not only devastated our community but have underscored the urgent need to address the escalating issue of gender-based violence (GBV) in our society.
Gender-based violence continues to ravage our communities, and too often, the perpetrators walk free, leaving families shattered and justice unmet. Statistics from the South African Police Service highlight an alarming rise in GBV cases, with thousands of women falling victim each year. This is a national crisis that demands immediate action.
By locking Bongani Twala away, we send a powerful message that violence against women will not be tolerated. We call on the legal system to expedite the trial and ensure that justice is served swiftly. Additionally, we urge the government to implement stronger measures aimed at preventing GBV and supporting survivors.
We cannot bring Vuyelwa back, but we can honor her memory by fighting for the justice she deserves and by working tirelessly to prevent other women from suffering the same fate.
Please sign this petition to demand swift justice for Vuyelwa "Mimi" Kubeka and to take a stand against gender-based violence. Together, we can make a difference.
