Muse Bistro is in the heart of an underserved location. We started our build out in 2019 and shortly after the devastation of COVID hit. While many businesses were saved by PPP loans we were not eligible since we were still not operating. However that doesn’t mean we were not affected. Production slowed we couldn’t find contractors to work. Supply chain was paused so what would’ve taken months was extended to nearly a year. And still we prevailed and opened December of 2019. Since then we’ve been a hot becoming Downtown corpuses most anticipated business on Facebook with over 400 hits bringing traffic and notice back to downtown. While business was good, the effects of Covid set in again. Supply chain made food delivery uncertain with existing vendors and employment was completely erratic. The restaurant industry was already suffering a worker shortage and this just added fire to the flame. We’ve been able to only maintain 2 workers consistently with many individuals choosing larger chain restaurants to work at or choosing to not work at all since plenty of aid was offered to the unemployed and underemployed. And STILL we prevailed. As we are approaching 1 year in business and we’re finally making steps to GROW and not just exist the landlord has decided to take possession of her building and not renew our lease. We are dedicated to this business and we would like you to stand for MUSE.
