This petition describes the lack of payment / fare system of tricycles in Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija. The commonly known reasons for the high-priced fare of tricycles are included in the following:

• Distance of travel
• Traffic

Not only these are the reasons but the tricycle drivers do not acknowledge the fare discount for students, senior citizens or possibly persons with disability (PWD). There are some cases in which a tricycle driver demands a higher price, and complaints regarding the harsh weather.

This problem may be rooted to one another problem: lack of discipline. Most tricycle drivers don't follow the rule in which if the tricycle drivers reach to the distance of wt least 3 kilometers, the passengers are obliged to pay for additional ₱5 per kilometer.

I would like to address this issue to the Local Government of Nueva Ecija to put a stop on overpriced fares of tricycles for the sake of students, senior citizens and persons with disabilities.
