Allegany County, Maryland, is suffering from some of the most explosive Covid-19 rates in the country. Our hospital is overwhelmed and cannot handle the number of Covid-19 cases we are experiencing. It is essential that our local leaders, state delegation and Governor immediately develop, implement and enforce more aggressive closures plans, designed to substantially reduce the transmission of the virus. We ask state and local leaders to actively and publicly support new  measures, and to require the enforcement of both new and existing masking and closure regulations.
