Along with the COVID 19 Pandemic, recent road closures in our communities have all but brought about drastic change to our daily routines. In addition to this further bus lane restrictions have also been enforced. Spending unnecessary hours in standstill traffic causes undue stress and anxiety to motorists. The endless hours spent in stationary traffic is having a detrimental impact on our mental health! Isn't the threat of losing our lives to Covid enough? We respect other road users, bike riders, motorcyclists, and pedestrians. We deserve the right to the same respect. As road tax payers we are entitled to be involved in any decision making to close the roads in our communities.. Ask yourselves, were you involved in any such decision making? We demand that something is done to ease the dire congestion cause by this untimely decision to close our roads. We demand that this decision is reconsidered with the view to re-opening our roads as soon as possible. Allow our emergency services to get through with ease, stop putting our lives at risk!
