END OF MICRO FLATS SO CALLED HMOs ROBBING THE PUBLIC PURSE ROGUE LANDLORDS
The Issue
With every Micro House of Multiple Occupation built converted, this means that a family home is lost, a lot of this Micro HMOs are run by cartel of Landlords finding loopholes in the Law to benefit from the maximum local housing allowance claimed by each person living in this places. These people have complex health issues and most of the time not fit for purpose neither is suitable for their needs because they are sometimes smaller that a student bed sit. Often these places are not officially registered with the naming and numbering at the local authority causing a lot of problems to the individuals. Remember that a family home once there with a single house number can get transformed into 2,3,4 or even 6 different so called “flats” with 2,3,4 or even 6 different addresses that wasn’t set properly. This can cause credit scores problems, easy unwanted internet take over, missing parcels, turned down for credit and black listing the address as a whole. The other thing that happens Is that now the local authority now collects 6 council tax bill from the HMOs instead of only 1 from the family home once there. This is wrong as the people living in this type of HMOs have to pay their own TV license instead because even though the HMO is private rented accommodation, it is run by housing associations that don’t care for their tenants, they simply exploit the local housing allowance to get the full rate of a “1 bedroom flat” which is higher than a shared house these landlords don’t do anything for their tenants which are often people with troubled past from mental health issues to other much more complex cases of anti social behaviour. Not forgetting the confusion for the tenants as a private rented accommodation run by housing associal which should be social housing now have private management rules that doesn’t apply to registered social landlord or in other words: a housing association that manages a private property. Not fit for purpose, an exploitation of the public purse and ripping off the most vulnerable in society that needs proper suitable housing to rebuild their lives. PLEASE HELP ME TO END THIS !!!!
