
The pandemic is seeing grocery giants like Loblaw revert back to plastic bags as a safer alternative to cloth bags or paper. Sobey's offers paper in addition to plastic. Why can't Loblaw do this, too? In the meantime, concerns over the virus have taken the focus off our original request that Loblaw pressure its suppliers to STOP using plastic packaging for fruits, vegetables and other foods. We WILL NOT buy foods packaged in plastic. In addition, we want to have choice when it comes to how we carry our groceries home during the pandemic. Why is plastic the only option?
