A quick update on our "little petition that could".  It's climbing past 155,000 signatures now... thanks in part to stories like this one out of the UK.  The cookie manufacturer "Border Biscuits" has removed 90% of the plastic from its packaging, and is using recyclable cardboard instead.  Just another company listening to consumers and taking a stand -- the way we're asking Loblaw to take a stand and pressure its suppliers to eliminate plastic from food packaging - especially packaging for fruits and vegetables.  Thank-you for your continued support! Let's keep spreading the word.  Remember, vote with your wallets.  Buy fruits and vegetables at the local farmers market instead of at the supermarket.  The CEO's will take notice.
