As of now, Loyalsock Township HS is failing to meet standards for students during the Covid-19 Pandemic. As a current student, I find that many other students feel that Loyalsock School District has nearly always fell short. Especially in critical times like these, Loyalsock HS is not allowing students to choose a hybrid or online learning program through the school. On top of that, Loyalsock is also the only school in the Lycoming County perimeter that is not allowing students the choice of how each individual prefers to learn in a time like this. Loyalsock students don’t have to wear masks in classrooms where students will not be able to be 6 ft apart. Loyalsock HS has failed their students too many times and continues to overlook their safety. Thus, creating an environment that is toxic for students and unhealthy at the least. Loyalsock Twp administration has once more failed their students, parents, and many more of their own. In times like during the Covid-19 Pandemic it is vital to do as me must in order to suppress the virus and bring case numbers down. However, Loyalsock Township HS has not met Coronavirus guidelines and is continuing to put student, teacher and many local’s health in jeopardy. As a conclusion, it is imperative that students are allowed to have the choice of whether or not they want to learn in the classroom, in a hybrid fashion, or as an online student.
