For the last 7 years there has been no definitive lease given to the owner-operator of Croxteth Park Riding Centre, making it impossible for her to plan for the future of her business. This has now come to a head in that the centre has had to close to the public, with the possibility of having to close its doors forever. If the council do not fix this problem by providing an long term lease which is suitable for this business, the community will lose a vital part of its park. Many in the area come here to fulfil their horse related hobbies yet this may not be possible for much longer. 

Should this petition pass and be seen by those with the power to fix this, you will have saved a brilliant small business and given a safer place for our youth to grow alongside nature. Those that have used this facility can tell you - the Croxteth Park Riding Centre enables people of all ages to learn about equestrianism and horses more generally, teaching children to look after animals and giving them the skills to make a career of horse riding, should they wish to do so. My daughter is one of the many who use this riding centre, recently competing in pony racing due to the help and guidance provided by all at the Croxteth Park Riding Centre. This has put her in good stead to progress further, having been admitted to racing school as a result.

Please, save this pillar of our community which has stood for nearly 40 years and taught countless people to ride horses, giving them a home away from home. It would a sad shame for future generations to be unable to experience the joy that this business provides.
