S.O.S. Save Our Silvio's (Kingshill Kitchen, Little Kingshill)

S.O.S. Save Our Silvio's (Kingshill Kitchen, Little Kingshill)
The Issue
Our wonderful coffee shop, Kingshill Kitchen in Little Kingshill ("Silvio's") will close at the end of the year and there is no firm plan or commitment to the reinstallation of the coffee shop in the future.
For many in the local community, Kingshill Kitchen has been a welcoming haven through the last year - providing a place to connect with friends and family and to relax. It was a shining example of the good that can come from community. The village has very few community amenities and Kingshill kitchen is a wonderful (leading quality) provision that we are lucky to have.
We the undersigned wish to:
1) express our support and thanks for Silvio and the team for Kingshill Kitchen
2) request that Little Kingshill Baptist Church opens a consultation process to involve the wider community and coffee shop
3) request that Little Kingshill Church make a firmer commitment to a future cafe involving Silvio
Whilst we understand that there there are a few matters to resolve, including concerns from nearby residents etc., we feel that these issues can be worked through collaboratively, and to the greater benefit to the overall community - to provide a gathering place, a community hub to support the local people.
UPDATE 15/11/21
This list has been hugely valuable in demonstrating the support for the Kingshill Kitchen and how much it means to the community. Thank you all for signing.
Below is an update from the Church and Silvio, I will send a further update once I hear further from them. You can also email your comments to church leaders on thekitchen@kingshillbaptist.org.uk.
Joint Statement from Kingshill Baptist Church and Silvio regarding Kingshill Kitchen
Kingshill Baptist Church and Silvio have been overwhelmed and humbled by the level of support for the Kingshill Kitchen.
Following an emergency meeting on Sunday 14th November, between the church leadership team and Silvio, we are redoubling our efforts to find a solution which keeps the Kingshill Kitchen open, supporting our fantastic local community.
An update will follow by the 28th November.
