Lite n' Easy - Please stop using styrofoam packaging

Lite n' Easy - Please stop using styrofoam packaging
The Issue
Lite n' Easy currently use Styrofoam as their packaging of choice. The large boxes are used to deliver plastic wrapped food to paying customers. This has an incredibly negative impact on the environment, and styrene (found in styrofoam), has been deemed in a 2014 National Toxicology Program Report as "reasonably anticipated to be a human carcinogen" and has been linked to the occurrence of leukemia and lymphoma cancer.
As stated by Lite n' Easy...
"Unfortunately, we use the Styrofoam, to ensure we are able to package the food and use dry ice to keep it cool for up to 8 hours to ensure that people are able to have deliveries any time of the day. There are few products available that can contain thew [sic] dry ice and thermal optimiser without breaking down. However, our styrofoam is recyclable and is why we continue to collect the old eskies and reuse them."
When asked what happens when customers cancel their subscriptions and discontinue receiving plastic wrapped food in styrofoam boxes, Lite N Easy advised:
"If our customers do not put the old esky out there will always be some that end up not collected. We do our best to provide a product that is environmentally friendly."
Please sign the petition to encourage Lite n' Easy to re-think their large environmental footprint, and reconsider the use of plastic wrapped food, and styrofoam boxes.
Currently, there is nothing Lite or Easy about their environmentally damaging practices.
