Movie Health Community started this petition to Lionsgate Films

The first trailer for Roland Emmerich's upcoming film, Moonfall, premiered this week alongside the world premiere of Marvel's Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. The new trailer is filled with extreme strobe effects, taking up almost the entire runtime of the trailer. Pictured here in this petition is the first frame of the trailer, which we offer as a warning if anyone with photosensitive health issues sees it starting on any screens in front of them.

This trailer is now playing on hundreds of cinema screens across the world. There is no warning about the imminent barrage of strobe effects. Many viewers are put at risk of flare-ups of physical health issues that can be caused by flashing lights, such as epileptic seizures, migraines, nausea, vomiting, and more.

To help mitigate the risk to moviegoers around the world, we are asking Lionsgate Films to do one of two things. The easier option is to put an epilepsy warning at the beginning of the current trailer, to warn the audience that there are extreme strobe effects about to happen on this screen.

The other option, which would likely be more difficult, is for Lionsgate Films to issue a new trailer and pull the current one from theatrical circulation, which would require an entirely new version of the trailer.

We remind Lionsgate Films that epilepsy warnings are not a deterrent to the audience of the films playing in cinemas. Incredibles 2 went on to become one of the highest-grossing animated films of all time, and the positive legacy of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is still talked about today.
