Keep the barriers at Wragby Market Place

Safety of pedestrians and visitors to our town; especially the children of Wragby.
Currently the junction of Wragby Road, Bardney Road and Victoria Street in WRagby has traffic lights to control vehicles. This junction is completely enclosed by barriers to keep pedestrians away from the traffic.
In new proposals to replace the traffic lights with an integrated phased traffic light and pedestrian 4 way crossing (ref: HCBMU0035) - the guard rails or barriers along the edge of the pavements along Wragby Road, the corners of Bardney Road (West), Victoria Street (West and East) are to be removed and replaced by bollards and planters.
This is dangerous and will open up the roadway to pedestrians, especially children. Although a 30mph speed limit is in force, traffic regularly speed along this section (as proved in our traffic surveys 2012).
For safety, we would like the barriers to remain in place. The gap from the old pedestrian crossing filled with like barriers, and the rest modified for the new crossings.
