There are no security cameras in the parking garages of the Alesio apartments in Las Colinas, Irving, TX. Apparently, there was a robbery at gunpoint the other day. Residents will understand that these parking garages are very dark, have zero cameras (zero accountability), and are potentially very dangerous environments. I have been accosted in the parking garage late at night by inebriated individuals, seen countless cars wait to sneak in behind residents, people sleeping in stairwells, suspicious dirty cars are left there for months at a time, and witnessed some drug use as well that I’d reported to the front office. I am fairly confident that there have been people living out of their cars at one point and that every time the gate is broken for weeks at a time, it’s because there IS no camera there to prevent them repeatedly doing the same thing.

We would politely ask that the Alesio front office management and Lincoln Property Group install basic security cameras inside the parking garages at the earliest convenience. Many residents have reported bringing this problem up to the front office on the Nextdoor app, all to no avail. I believe cameras will help Alesio limit their liability and prevent further gate maintenance issues as well.

Security cameras in parking garages are a basic necessity in 2020. Dark parking garages underground, even more so. As paying tenants, we deserve to live in a complex that values our safety and well-being. I firmly believe that both the management and the residents would benefit from this very basic, very necessary security camera installation.
