We, the undersigned, believe that political office holders should be held to a higher standard of accountability when it comes to their compensation, term limits, cognitive abilities, and funding sources. As such, we propose the following measures to ensure that politicians are serving their constituents rather than special interests:

Limit political office holders to only get paid the same as their lowest earning constituents, benefits and all. This will ensure that politicians are not receiving exorbitant salaries while many of their constituents are struggling to make ends meet.

Implement term limits as deemed by studies. Studies have shown that long-term incumbency can lead to corruption and complacency. By limiting the number of terms that politicians can serve, we can ensure that fresh voices and ideas are brought into government.

Political office holders shall be required to undergo mandatory cognitive tests by third-party anonymous medical professionals at the beginning of each term to ensure that they have the cognitive abilities necessary to fulfill the responsibilities of their office.

Political office holders, their spouses, LLCs, and any other entities linked to them shall be prohibited from buying or selling any stocks, including stocks held in their names, during their terms in office, to prevent potential insider trading. This is a requirement to be a representative of the public and by running for any political office you must agree to this.

Political office holders shall be prohibited from receiving any form of financial contribution, in any capacity, from corporations, government organizations, nonprofits, or any other entities, to avoid potential conflicts of interest and to maintain the integrity of the political system.

Political office holders who intentionally misrepresent the Constitution shall be removed from office and barred from participating in politics for a period of 15 years.

We believe that these measures will help to ensure that politicians are serving the interests of their constituents, rather than their own self-interests or the interests of corporations. We urge you to take action to implement these measures as soon as possible.
