Limit the influence of or abolish the national juries in Eurovision

The Issue

As a passionate fan of Eurovision and a proud Croatian, I've been disheartened by the recent results. My country sent what I believe to be one of the best songs in years, "Rim Tim Tagi Dim" by Baby Lasagna, but we haven't managed to secure a win. The same goes for Finland's entry in 2023 which was tele-voters’ favorite yet failed to win.

The current voting process allows national juries significant influence which can sometimes overshadow public opinion. For instance, according to tele-voters' preferences, Croatia should have won Eurovision 2024 and Finland should have won Eurovision 2023. This discrepancy between jury decisions and public preference has raised questions about the fairness of the competition.

I propose that The European Broadcasting Union (EBU) either limit the influence of or abolish national juries altogether from their voting process. This would ensure that popular votes carry more weight and reflect true public sentiment towards each performance.

I strongly believe I’m not alone in this belief. It is time for EBU to acknowledge these concerns and make changes that prioritize public opinion over jury biases.

Please sign this petition if you believe in fair representation at Eurovision based on popular vote rather than jury decision.
