For us, the residents of the neighbourhoods surrounding Mohammedi Park on Rowdell Road, Northolt UB5 6AG, the large-scale events held in 2022 and 2026 have been a test of patience and endurance. The Dawoodi Bohra community hosts  in both events a 14‑day gatherings with upwards of 9,000 attendees, drastically altering our daily lives during these periods.

We have experienced continuous noise, overwhelming traffic congestion, and severe parking obstructions that directly challenge our safety, wellbeing, and ability to access our homes.

The presence of thousands of attendees for more than 15 hours each day raises serious public safety concerns. These events overwhelm local infrastructure, strain emergency response capabilities, and increase the risk of incidents due to crowd density and traffic pressure. Furthermore, the persistent noise disrupts our peace, impacts mental and physical health, and detracts from the quality of life that residents reasonably expect in a residential area.

We are not calling for a complete cessation of these events. Instead, we seek a balanced approach that respects cultural practices while protecting the rights and wellbeing of local residents. Limiting these large gatherings to a maximum of two consecutive days is a fair and reasonable compromise. This allows cultural traditions to continue while significantly reducing the adverse effects on the surrounding community.

To support the wellbeing of residents, we urge the relevant authorities to implement restrictions on the duration of large-scale events at Saifee Burhani Qardan Hasana.
