Hi everyone I came to Talk about a certain issue that I'm sure Plenty of us have and an active user of Facebook. Like many others, I use this platform to connect with friends and family, share memories, and stay updated on global events. However, I've experienced restrictions from performing regular activities such as liking posts or sending messages for extended periods. This feels unfair as it hinders our communication process.

Facebook currently imposes restrictions that can last up to several days or even weeks based on their community standards violations. These restrictions are often placed on actions we regularly perform like sending messages or liking posts which can lead to unread messages piling up and important communications being missed.

According to a survey by Pew Research Center in 2019, among most  U.S adults (74%) use Facebook (source: Pew Research Center). This means that these restrictive measures potentially impact a significant number of people who rely on this platform for communication.

We believe that reducing the restriction period from days/hours down to 30 minutes would be more reasonable while still maintaining the integrity of the platform's rules. This change will make the system fairer without compromising Facebook's efforts towards curbing misuse.

We urge you all who have faced similar issues or believe in fair access to digital platforms like Facebook to sign this petition. Let us work together towards making social media more user-friendly while respecting community guidelines.
