Light up the Chicago Skyline in Pride Colors for LGBTQ Pride this June!

Light up the Chicago Skyline in Pride Colors for LGBTQ Pride this June!
The Issue
Each year, across the world, cities show their support for Pride in various ways. Google the words "Gay Pride Lights" and you'll find many images of buildings, landmarks, and bridges in cities as large as New York, London, and Paris as well as cities as small as St. Paul, Little Rock, and Asheville light up the night sky with Pride colors. Even the White House was lit in Pride colors to celebrate the passage for Marriage Equality. Sadly, Chicago is absent from this list.
The Chicago skyline doesn't show the rainbow colors for Pride. Chicago building managers have never lit up their buildings for Pride. Even more surprising, the city has never lit Buckingham Fountain, City Hall or Navy Pier for Pride.
Each year, Chicago buildings and landmarks are lit to celebrate holidays ( including St Patty's Day, Valentines, July 4, Memorial and Labor Days, and Christmas), Breast Cancer Awareness, St. Jude's Children's Center, various Chicago Sports teams, and other various causes throughout the year. Regardless of the cause, it is always a beautiful sight to see!
While there is not one person responsible for lighting up our whole skyline in a unified way, we thought this petition could be sent to the various building managers and City officials to help get the Rainbow Colors on our skyline this June!
Chicago is the third largest city in the US. Our city has one of the largest LGBTQ communities in the world. We are a city that celebrates our many different communities and we are quick to unite and support many worth-while causes. Chicago's Pride Parade is one of the largest Pride Parades in the world and is also one of the largest parades held in Chicago each year. It is time for the city we love to show us some love back!
