Lift the Ban on Refugee Travel Document for Entry into Saudi Arabia

Lift the Ban on Refugee Travel Document for Entry into Saudi Arabia
The Issue
As Muslims around the globe holding Refugee Travel Documents, we find ourselves currently barred from entering Saudi Arabia either for a visit or to perform Umrah. This situation is not only discriminatory but also deeply saddening. Our faith calls us to make this sacred journey, yet our status as refugees prevents us from fulfilling this religious obligation.
According to UNHCR, there are approximately 26 million refugees worldwide (UNHCR Global Trends Report). A significant portion of these individuals are Muslims who wish to undertake their religious duties in Saudi Arabia but are unable due to current travel restrictions.
We urge the government of Saudi Arabia and international authorities alike to reconsider these travel restrictions and allow holders of Refugee Travel Documents access into the country. This change would not only uphold principles of equality and non-discrimination but also respect our fundamental right to practice our religion freely.
Please join us in calling for an end to this ban and sign this petition today.
