To Western leaders, policymakers, and citizens,

We, the undersigned, urgently call on Western governments to stop treating ordinary Iranians as pawns in geopolitical games and to adopt policies that tangibly improve their lives. For years, sweeping economic sanctions have hollowed out the economy, strangled investment, and made basic necessities—medicine, stable jobs, and a predictable currency—desperately scarce. This manufactured hardship has fueled unrest, destabilized the region, and cost innocent lives.

Military strikes and the constant threat of force will not heal these wounds—they will deepen them. War is not the answer; it is an escalation of the same failed strategy.

By contrast, lifting economic sanctions and restoring constructive engagement would immediately begin to ease human suffering. It would reopen vital trade and banking channels, allowing food and medicine to flow freely. It would reconnect Iranian scientists, students, artists, and entrepreneurs with the global community. This reintegration could generate hundreds of billions in economic activity and create millions of jobs—real, tangible benefits for families, not just abstract geopolitical wins.

We demand a decisive shift toward diplomacy and constructive engagement focused on negotiation and a lasting agreement. Specifically, we call on Western governments to:

• Renounce the Use of Force: Issue a public, verifiable pledge to refrain from military strikes and the threat of force, which endanger civilians.
• Pursue High-Level Diplomacy: Immediately engage in good-faith negotiations aimed at a comprehensive, verifiable agreement that addresses nuclear question while fully restoring Iran’s lawful economic links with the world.
• Implement a Comprehensive Sanctions Relief Plan: Adopt a clear, milestone-based plan to lift broad economic restraints, beginning with the immediate reopening of channels for trade, finance, and medical supplies so that people can access jobs, medicine, and dignity.

This is not naïve optimism—it is a pragmatic and humane alternative to the dangerous and failed experiment of “maximum pressure.” If the West truly wishes to empower the Iranian people, it must stop punishing them. It must choose policies that rebuild hope, restore opportunity, and protect lives.

به رهبران، سیاست‌گذاران و شهروندان غربی،

ما، امضاکنندگان زیر، از دولت‌های غربی می‌خواهیم که از رفتار با مردم عادی ایران به عنوان مهره‌هایی در بازی‌های ژئوپلیتیکی دست بردارند و سیاست‌هایی را اتخاذ کنند که به طور ملموس زندگی آنها را بهبود بخشد. سال‌هاست که تحریم‌های اقتصادی گسترده، اقتصاد را تضعیف کرده، سرمایه‌گذاری را مختل کرده و مایحتاج اولیه - دارو، مشاغل پایدار و ارز قابل پیش‌بینی - را به شدت کمیاب کرده است. این سختی‌های ساختگی، ناآرامی‌ها را تشدید کرده، منطقه را بی‌ثبات کرده و جان افراد بی‌گناه را گرفته است.

حمله نظامی و تهدید مداوم به زور، این زخم‌ها را التیام نمی‌بخشد - آنها را عمیق‌تر می‌کند. جنگ پاسخ نیست؛ این تشدید همان استراتژی شکست‌خورده گذشته است.

در مقابل، لغو تحریم‌های اقتصادی و احیای تعامل سازنده، بلافاصله شروع به کاهش رنج‌های انسانی خواهد کرد. این امر کانال‌های حیاتی تجارت و بانکداری را بازگشایی می‌کند و به غذا و دارو اجازه می‌دهد آزادانه جریان داشته باشند. این امر دانشمندان، دانشجویان، هنرمندان و کارآفرینان ایرانی را با جامعه جهانی دوباره متصل می‌کند. این ادغام مجدد می‌تواند صدها میلیارد دلار در فعالیت اقتصادی ایجاد کند و میلیون‌ها شغل ایجاد کند - مزایای واقعی و ملموس برای خانواده‌ها، نه فقط پیروزی‌های ژئوپلیتیکی انتزاعی.

 ما خواستار تغییر قاطع به سمت دیپلماسی و تعامل سازنده با تمرکز بر مذاکره و توافق پایدار هستیم. به طور خاص، از دولت‌های غربی می‌خواهیم که:

• از استفاده از زور خودداری کنند: تعهد عمومی و قابل تأییدی مبنی بر خودداری از حملات نظامی و تهدید به زور که غیرنظامیان را به خطر می‌اندازد، صادر کنند.
• پیگیری دیپلماسی سطح بالا: فوراً در مذاکرات حسن نیت با هدف دستیابی به یک توافق جامع و قابل تأیید که به مسئله هسته‌ای می‌پردازد و در عین حال پیوندهای اقتصادی قانونی ایران با جهان را به طور کامل احیا کند، شرکت کنند.
• اجرای یک طرح کاهش گسترده تحریم‌ها: اتخاذ یک طرح روشن و مبتنی بر نقطه عطف برای لغو محدودیت‌های گسترده اقتصادی، که با بازگشایی فوری کانال‌های تجارت، امور مالی و تجهیزات پزشکی آغاز می‌شود تا مردم بتوانند به شغل، دارو و کرامت انسانی دسترسی پیدا کنند.

این خوش‌بینی ساده‌لوحانه نیست - بلکه یک جایگزین عمل‌گرایانه و انسانی برای آزمایش خطرناک و شکست‌خورده «فشار حداکثری» است. اگر غرب واقعاً می‌خواهد مردم ایران را توانمند کند، باید از مجازات آنها دست بردارد. باید سیاست‌هایی را انتخاب کند که امید را بازسازی کند، فرصت‌ها را احیا کند و از جان‌ها محافظت کند.
