March 8th, 2025 my father Florencio Ramirez Jr. left to work at 3:48 am, he unfortunately did not make it to his destination. Jasmine Arteaga, who just turned 26 on March 12 KILLED my father by driving the wrong way on hardy toll. UNFORTUNATELY due to the laws in texas she was only charged with manslaughter and a $250,000 bond. This means she is able to bail out of jail if she pays 10% of her bond. Jasmine Arteaga KILLED my dad due to her irresponsible actions, she made the CHOICE to drink & drive. DO NOT DRINK & DRIVE, think about others who are waiting for their loved ones. He has left a whole family behind, and unfortunately until BIGGER PUNISHMENTS are handed to intoxicated drivers, there will continue to be more incidents like ours. She and any other intoxicated drivers who kill someone should be in Jail for life, they aren’t destroying one persons life but their WHOLE family.
