We would like to ask Lidl to remove the large plastic globe signs they've put up on the outside of their new shop in the middle of Drumcondra village. 

The signage is the first of its kind in the area and clearly visible from the other end of the village. We think the signs change the local feel of Drumcondra village. 

Many of us welcome Lidl to the local area. However those shopping there will know where it is and the signage isn't necessary. In areas of Lisbon for example, no branding of buildings by multinationals is allowed. Small signs are put above doorways instead and the areas get to keep their local feeling.
