This years marks the thirteenth anniversary of the first Iron Man film. It was a box office success that helped create the Marvel Cinematic Universe as it stands today. The film catapulted the superhero film genre to heights not previously seen and those films were finally received in a mainstream manner. 

Thirteen years ago, Iron Man opened the door to a world of interconnected Transmedia storytelling never before attempted in entertainment. This iconic and groundbreaking film deserves to be added to the National Film Registry of the Library of Congress. 

Iron Man has an amazing and loyal fanbase - and many of those fans have an incredibly special connection to this film.  Please help to get this important piece of pop culture added to the National Film Registry.
